Félix Plamondon brings a high +/- rating and mobile skating to UMass-Lowell's defense.
A shifty blueliner will join the University of Massachusetts-Lowell this fall. Félix Plamondon heads to Hockey East after nearly four seasons with the QMJHL's Shawinigan Cataractes. Last season, Plamondon accumulated 32 points (7 goals + 25 assists) in 64 outings. He was first on Shawinigan and fourth among league defensemen with a +46 rating. Plamondon previously attended 2024 Boston Bruins Rookie Camp.
Plamondon is a solid skater and can move the puck. Add in his 6 foot 2, 174 pound frame and the River Hawks have a reliable back end presence that can continue help the grow their program. It would not surprise me if Plomondon is on a pairing with rising junior Daniel Buchbinder, given their similar build and styles of play.
