Gelinas is currently suiting up for the QMJHL's Rouyn-Noranda Huskies

Rouyn-Noranda Huskies forward Remi Gelinas has committed to Clarkson, it was reported earlier this week.

Gelinas, who hails from Deux-Montagnes, Que., has split time this season between the Huskies and the CCHL's Hawkesbury Hawks. In 11 games for the Huskies, he has collected 12 goals and 19 points while putting up 50 points in 26 games for the Hawks.

Across 102 career CCHL regular season games, Gelinas has 117 points. Prior to making the jump to the QMJHL, Gelinas also suited up in the BCHL, playing a total of 30 games between the Powell River Kings and Nanaimo Clippers last season.

With Gelinas having a torrid offensive touch wherever he plays this season, the Golden Knights have clearly been impressed with his play. Scheduled to join the team this fall, Gelinas is looking like an under the radar player to follow for next season.
