Moncton Wildcats goaltender Rudy Guimond has appeared to decommit from Yale, it was announced on Saturday.

A native of Pointe-Claire, Que., Guimond appeared in 16 regular season games for the Wildcats this past season, where he posted a .940 save percentage with three shutouts.

Guimond was selected by the Detroit Red Wings in the sixth round, 169th overall, in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.

A 2005-born netminder, Guimond was expected to make the jump to the NCAA and join the Bulldogs for the 2025-26 season.
