Former Sacred Heart forward Willyam Gendron has transferred to McGill (U Sports), it was announced Monday.

Gendron, who suited up in his freshman season with the Pioneers in 2024-25, only appeared in three games and was held off the scoresheet. Prior to making the jump to the NCAA, Gendron played his junior hockey in the CCHL (Hawkesbury Hawks), NCDC (South Shore Kings) and the BCHL (Nanaimo Clippers & Chilliwack Chiefs).

In his time playing in the BCHL, Gendron got into 95 career regular season games, scoring 35 goals and adding 44 assists for 79 points, His best offensive output over a full year came when he split time between the Hawks and the Kings, putting up 56 points in 61 total games.

With Gendron transferring to U Sports, he should play a prominent role with the Redbirds. Always a strong team in the OUA, Gendron should be able to help McGill secure another playoff spot this upcoming season.
