John Mersits-USA TODAY NETWORKUnited States National Team Development Program forward Sammy Nelson has committed to Notre Dame, it was announced on Wednesday.
A native of Maple Grove, MN, Nelson posted 31 points (16 goals, 15 assists) across 50 games for the U.S. National U17 Team this past season.
A 2008-born skater, Nelson has ample time to continue to develop before he makes the jump to the NCAA and joins the Fighting Irish for the 2027-28 season.
