College Charles-Lemoyne Riverains forward Samuel Boyer has committed to Vermont, it was announced earlier this week.
Boyer, a product of La Prairie, Que., is in his second season with the Riverains, having scored 39 goals and adding 41 assists for 80 points in 42 games. Across 84 career games with the team, Boyer has accumulated 49 goals and 106 points.
Drafted by the Cape Breton Eagles in the third round of the 2024 QMJHL Entry Draft, Boyer looks like a likely candidate to make the jump to the QMJHL in 2025-26.
As someone who has been a top producer at the QM18AAA level the past two seasons, Boyer needs little room to make his presence felt on the ice. Scheduled to join the Catamounts in 2027, Boyer will be a difference maker for the Eagles before making the journey to Vermont for school.
