    Brampton Steelheads defenseman Spencer Sova has committed to Omaha, it was announced on Friday.

    A native of Windsor, Ontario, Sova scored five goals and recorded 27 assists in 58 regular season games for the Steelheads this past season.

    Prior to joining Brampton, Sova spent two seasons with the Erie Otters, where he recorded 70 points (30 goals, 40 assists) in 126 regular season games.

    A 2004-born skater, Sova will make the jump to the NCAA and join the Mavericks for the 2025-26 season.
