

Windsor Spitfires defenseman Tnias Mathurin has committed to UMass Lowell, it was announced on Thursday.
A native of Ajax, ON, Mathurin played in 49 regular season games with the Spitfires this past year, where he scored seven goals and recorded 16 assists.
Mathurin was selected in the fifth round, 137th overall, by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.
A 2004-born skater, Mathurin will make the jump to the NCAA and join the River Hawks for the 2025-26 season. He'll provide size and depth to UMass Lowell's blue line.
