The Bobcats' home whites kick off the countdown with rare typography and gold-trimmed elegance, proving that a clean canvas makes the boldest statement on the ice.
Coming in at Number 10 on our countdown of the Top Ten Jerseys in College Hockey takes us to Quinnipiac's home whites. These take the ten spot for their pop factor. The white base is a blank canvas that is filled in by unique typography and bold colors. Navy lettering, coupled with gold trim allows the Bobcats' sweaters to shine bright on home ice, while remaining streamlined.
Thin lettering like Quinnipiac's is very uncommon in hockey with no true comparables on any other teams I could find. The closest resemblance to the Bobcats' font is the 50th Anniversary Washington Capitals Black Screaming Eagle, worn for six home games during the 2024-25 NHL Season. Even here, the typeface is still much thicker than Quinnipiac's.

It is still a solid jersey, but the white sweaters worn at M&T Bank Arena edge the gold out. A uniform that bright can be a bit harsh on some eyes, causing the unique numbers to get lost within the intense colors. Having a white background lets this feature shine the brightest during play. An additional nicety is the golden cursive "Q" on the shoulders, adding an air of elegance.
Quinnipiac went 17-4-1 during the 2025-26 season. They fell to Clarkson University in the ECAC Quarterfinals before being eliminated by North Dakota in the Sioux Falls NCAA Regional Final. With Hobey Baker candidate Ethan Wyttenbach returning for his sophomore season, I can't wait to see the Bobcats don these jerseys again this fall.
