Embrace a timeless aesthetic where baseball typography meets the ice. Harvard honors its storied history with a minimalistic design.

Often times, teams want to be the latest and greatest when it comes to their uniforms. However, that isn't the case at America's oldest university. Harvard is all about tradition, and that includes their hockey jerseys. The Crimson's home white sweaters harken back to a time when organized sport was in its infancy, with baseball being a primary source of entertainment.

A solid white backdrop is a blank canvas for Harvard spelled in block letters with baseball style numbers below. The lack of a separate shoulder color, common on other teams, keeps the jersey looking like an old school hockey sweater.  Simple stripes and sleeve numbers add to the jersey's vintage look. The university's crest on the shoulders is a nice touch that honors the past and reminds me of homemade uniforms with stitched on patches. These elements put together blend a rich history with modern materials and the fastest sport in the worlds

Harvard's jersey archetype is almost identical to their rival, Yale. The only significant difference between the two schools' white sweaters is Yale's stripes are fewer in number but significantly thicker. Ultimately, the Crimson's retro baseball design won the day against their Bulldog nemeses who I did consider for this Number Seven spot.

In 2025-26 Harvard finished with a 16-16-2 record. The Crimson's scoring was led by Casey Severo and Mick Thompson. Severo led Harvard with 18 assists and 27 points while tying Thompson's first place 9 goals. One of the highlights of the campaign was taking No. 1 Michigan to overtime on Nov. 29. After beating St. Lawrence University during the opening round of the ECAC Tournament, Harvard fell to Cornell in game three of the Quarterfinals.

When the Crimson don their signature white jerseys again in the fall, they will do so under new leadership, as Ted Donato stepped following 22 years as Harvard's Head Coach. Whoever is succeeds Donato behind the bench, will command players wearing those timeless white jerseys as they take the ice.
