Prince Albert Raiders forward Ty Meunier has committed to Nebraska Omaha, it was announced earlier this week.

Meunier, who hails from St. Albert, Alta., just finished his rookie season with the Raiders, scoring 14 goals and adding 15 assists for 29 points in 68 regular season games. In a further 11 playoff games, Meunier added a goal.

Drafted by the Raiders in the first round of the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft, Meunier spent last season playing for the St. Albert Raiders U18, collecting 27 goals and 26 assists for 53 points in 35 regular season games. Meunier also played for the St. Albert Sabres and St. Albert Flyers growing up.

With Meunier not heading off to join the Mavericks until next fall, he will have the ability to build on his strong rookie season in the WHL and help the Raiders make another playoff push. With Meunier still developing on and off the ice, he already looks like an intriguing add for Nebraska Omaha.
