Lawrence spent this past season playing for Shattuck St. Mary's

Muskegon Lumberjacks forward Tynan Lawrence has committed to Boston University, it was announced this past week.

With August 1 marking the first day 2008-born players could announce their NCAA commitments, numerous players including Lawrence, a Fredericton, N.B. product, did so.

Having played for Shattuck St. Mary's 16U this past season, Lawrence collected 22 goals and 27 assists for 49 points in 50 games.

Considered by many to be one of the top 2008 talents out of Eastern Canada, Lawrence will hone his skills in the USHL before making the jump to the NCAA. A skilled forward with the puck, Lawrence does not need much time or space to create scoring chances for himself and others. As he continues to devlelop, he will be one hockey fans want to keep their eyes on.
