
USA Hockey revealed a list of 46 players invited to the 2024 World Junior Summer Showcase Thursday, with the event scheduled to take place in Plymouth, Mich., between July 26 - Aug. 3.
Amongst the names, 13 current NCAA players were awarded the opportunity to attend the event including Tanner Adams (Providence), Ryan Leonard (Boston College), Oliver Moore (Minnesota), Danny Nelson (Notre Dame), Gabe Perreault (Boston College), William Whitelaw (Michigan), Zeev Buium (Denver), Paul Fischer (Notre Dame), Drew Fortescue (Boston College), Gavin McCarthy (Boston University), Aram Minnetian (Boston College), Zach Schulz (Wisconsin) and Trey Augustine (Michigan State).
USA Hockey will split the players up into two teams (USA White & USA Blue) and they will face off against Sweden, Canada and Finland.
The games serve as an opportunity for players to showcase their talents in front of evaluators in the hopes of making the 2025 World Juniors team that will represent the U.S. in Ottawa.
Of all the players that were invited, 10 were on the U.S. team that won the 2024 World Juniors including Augustine, Buium, Fortescue, Minnetian, Leonard, Moore, Nelson, Perreault, Carey Terrance and Sam Hillebrandt.
