The Latvia native enters the transfer portal with two years of eligibility remaining
Vermont defender Ralfs Bergmanis has entered the transfer portal, it was announced Wednesday.
The product of Liepaja, LAT., just finished up his sophomore season with the Catamounts where he had two goals and 10 assists for 12 points in 32 games.
Over the course of his two seasons in the NCAA, Bergmanis has two goals and 16 assists for 18 points in 68 games.
Prior to joining the Catamounts, Bergmanis split his time playing junior hockey between Latvia, Finland and one season in the USHL with the Sioux City Musketeers where he had 14 points in 50 games.
A smooth-skating defender, Bergmanis looks to attack up ice and makes good decisions with the puck on his stick. For a team looking to add a defender capable of moving the puck up ice, Bergmanis should be on their list of potential targets.
