A prolific scorer from Rochester Jr. Americans is taking his talents to Mercyhurst's Division I program.
The North American Hockey League announced Konner Powell's commitment to Mercyhurst University this morning. Powell is an 18 year old forward playing for the Rochester Jr. Americans, earning 23 points (15 goals + 8 assists) in 41 games. The Nashville, IN native was also selected by the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the 12th round (197th Overall) of the 2025 USHL Entry Draft.
“I am very proud and honored to announce my commitment to play Division I hockey at Mercyhurst University," said Powell via the North American Hockey League's release. "I’d like to thank my family, friends, coaches, teammates, advisors, and everyone else who has helped me along the way."
