
Minnesota Mallards goaltender Zane Spaniol has committed to the Air Force Academy, it was announced earlier this week.
A native of Ham Lake, MN, Spaniol is in his first season with the Mallards. In 21 regular season games this season, he has a .892 save percentage with one shutout.
Prior to joining the Mallards, Spaniol played the 2023-24 season in the CCHL with the Brockville Braves. In 33 regular season games, he posted a .884 save percentage.
Born in 2004, Spaniol is expected to make the jump to the NCAA level and join the Air Force Academy for the 2025-26 season.
