Big Ten Hockey released the Three Stars of the Week for Week 7, and Michigan State freshman forward Shane Vansaghi picked up his first conference award.

Big Ten Hockey announced its Three Stars of the Week for Week 7.

First Star of the Week: Riley Thompson, F (Ohio State)

Thompson picks up his second star this season after being named Third Star of the Week earlier this month.

The sophomore forward tallied five points, including three on Friday, in Ohio State's weekend sweep at Lindenwood.

Thompson netted a pair of goals and recorded the primary assist on Gunnarwolfe Fontaine's second tally in Friday's 5-2 win.

He followed that up with a two-assist outing in Ohio State's 3-2 win to complete the weekend sweep.

Thompson leads all Buckeye skaters in points (15) and is tied for the team lead in assists (10) and plus/minus (+9).

Second Star of the Week: Quinn Finley, F (Wisconsin)

This marks Quinn Finley's first conference award this season.

The sophomore forward had a huge hand in Wisconsin's road sweep at Penn State, tallying four points and matched a season-high with three points in Saturday's 6-3 win.

Finley provided the primary assist on Ryland Mosley's goal that started the scoring in Friday's game. The New York Islanders draft pick followed that up with a goal and a pair of assists on Saturday.

Finley is up to eight goals on 43 shots and 14 points this season.

Third Star of the Week: Shane Vansaghi, F (Michigan State)

Vansaghi has been coming on strong over the last couple of weeks and was rewarded with his first Star award.

The freshman forward collected a pair of assists in Friday's 8-3 win over Notre Dame, marking his second multi-assist outing of the season.

Vansaghi followed up with a goal and an assist on Saturday night to complete the weekend sweep for the Spartans.

The 2025 NHL Draft-eligible prospect is riding a four-game point streak in which he has racked up two goals and six points.
