    With seven points in Michigan's two-game sweep over Penn State, freshman forward Michael Hage was named Big Ten Hockey's First Star of the Week.

    First Star: Michael Hage (Michigan)

    Michigan's freshman forward Michael Hage had his best weekend of college hockey in the team's weekend sweep at Penn State.

    Hage finished with seven points in two games, including five in Saturday's 10-6 win against the Nittany Lions.

    The Montreal Canadiens draft pick scored a pair of goals on Friday, including the go-ahead marker just past the midway point of the third period.

    Hage exploded for five points the following night and had a season-high four assists. He is up to eight goals and 16 points this season.

    Second Star: T.J. Hughes (Michigan)

    Hughes netted four goals and five points in Michigan's big win on Saturday night.

    The junior forward finished the weekend with six points in two games.

    On Friday night, he also had a goal, tying the game at 1-1 in the first period.

    Third Star: Aiden Fink (Penn State)

    Fink tallied three goals on eight shots and added three assists in a losing effort this past weekend.

    The sophomore forward netted two points on Friday night, with his second-period marker starting a run of three straight goals for Penn State.

    Fink tallied four points, including a pair of goals, on Saturday.

    He leads all Penn State skaters in goals (7), assists (11), points (18), and plus/minus (+8). Added, his 33 shots are the third-most on the team.
