The New York Rangers have recalled Nicolas Aube-Kubel from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.
This comes after Sam Carrick did not practice with the team on Monday due to personal reasons.
It’s still unclear if Aube-Kubel will be sent down upon Carrick’s return.
The Rangers acquired Aube-Kubel on the day of the trade deadline from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for Erik Brännström
When Aube-Kubel was acquired, it was believed that he could be a factor as a depth piece down the stretch.
The 28-year-old forward has played three games for the Wolf Pack so far, recording one goal.
