NHL trade rumor season is always a big one for the Flyers, but nothing seems to come of them more often than not.

Why? I guess we'll never know for sure, but you can be sure that the Flyers need to make some upgrades.

One I think would benefit them greatly (and fit the team identity) is Islanders defenseman Alex Romanov, who was linked to them earlier Thursday.

The big question: how much is he going to cost teams?
