On Tuesday, the NHL and NHLPA announced transition dates for updated provisions with the new CBA, which is set to take full effect in 2026-27.
Some rule changes will be implemented this season, and one provision - the potential AHL-CHL rule that could allow one 19-year-old junior player from each organization to play in the AHL - could have a huge effect on one Pittsburgh Penguins' prospect's development.
