Nick Suzuki is one of two NHL players to have played more than 500 consecutive games. What would he have to do to break Phil Kessel's record?

Playing more than 500 consecutive games is almost unheard of in today's NHL, which is why only two active players have done it.

Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki is one of them. In fact, he played his 502nd straight game Tuesday night. (The number 502 should tweak something when it comes to consecutive games. Watch the video to find out which player Suzuki has matched at that number.)

That, of course, doesn't put him even halfway to Phil Kessel's record of 1,064 games, nor does it put him anywhere near active ironman, Colorado Avalanche D-man Brent Burns, who has played 970 straight and is a serious threat to surpass Kessel next season if he's still playing.

Watch the video column above to find out not only how impressive Suzuki and Burns' streaks are, but what they need to do to catch Kessel.
