It's a matter of perspective for the Toronto Maple Leafs. When you lose a game in overtime that was winnable and would have put you in total control of a series, perspective can be difficult to grasp.

If you're a fan of the Maple Leafs, there was a lot that happened in their 5-4 overtime loss to the Florida Panthers in Game 3 that you didn't want to see.

You'd rather they didn't blow a two-goal lead. You'd rather Joseph Woll would have stopped the Jonah Gadjovich goal. You'd rather the Panthers hadn't traded for Brad Marchand at the deadline.

But, again, perspective. This is still a very winnable series for the Maple Leafs.

They can be a lot more tight defensively and disciplined with the lead. While Auston Matthews has played well defensively and generated assists, we're still waiting for that moment where he takes over a game and series offensively and makes it his own.

As we've said before, there is a calmness to this team that will allow it to regroup and come out strongly in Game 4. They'll have to do that against the defending Stanley Cup champions that's gotten through the adversity before.
