CHICAGO - Chicago Blackhawks forward Rene Bourque will miss at least a month after breaking his thumb during Saturday night's 5-3 win over the Detroit Red Wings.

Bourque added two short-handed goals and an assist during the game, but injured his thumb while blocking a shot in the third period.

So far this season, the 25-year-old has three goals, all short-handed. He's also added five assists for eight points in 16 games.

Bourque is in his second season with the Blackhawks.
