

GLENDALE, Ariz. - The Phoenix Coyotes have signed defenceman Tyler Eckford and goalie Curtis McElhinney to one-year contracts.
Terms of the deals Monday were not disclosed.
McElhinney has played four NHL seasons with Ottawa, Anaheim and Calgary, going 18-26-4 record with a 3.13 goals-against average in 67 games.
The 28-year-old played a career-high 28 games with the Senators and Ducks, with a record of 9-13-1, two shutouts and a 2.99 goals-against average.
Eckford played four games with New Jersey and 37 with Albany last season. In 2009-2010, the 25-year-old set career highs with eight goals and 31 points with Lowell.
Eckford was originally selected by New Jersey in the seventh round in the 2004 entry draft.
