Adams, 32, has missed the last six games with a wrist injury. He has recorded two goals and two assists for four points in 34 games this season.
Ladd, 21, missed eight games after undergoing an emergency appendectomy on Dec. 14. He has three goals and two assists for five points in 27 games this season.
The Hurricanes also re-assigned forward Keith Aucoin to the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League.
