The Edmonton Oilers left winger is quickly establishing himself as a physical presence in the NHL and that's going to rub some opponents the wrong way. It certainly did in a win over the Sharks last night.
Edmonton hasn't had much luck developing depth draft picks lately, but 2012 third-rounder Jujhar Khaira is beginning to make an impact, as the San Jose Sharks found out last night.
Khaira, a physical, bruising left winger, got into his first NHL fight, taking on Brenden Dillon after the Sharks defenseman took exception to the Oilers rookie knocking around Justin Braun with a big hit. It was a pretty good tilt, too:

Khaira has played six games for the Oilers so far, instantly becoming one of Edmonton's most aggressive players. Coincidence or not, Edmonton is now 5-1-0 with Khaira in the lineup – Taylor Hall ended things against the Sharks with an overtime goal. The best part is that Khaira's not a finesse forward; he brings a different look. Ah, they grow up so fast.
