Toronto (13-13-6) at Atlanta (11-17-4), 7:00 p.m. EST

ATLANTA (Ticker) -- A sudden offensive burst has given the

Toronto Maple Leafs new life.

The surging Maple Leafs seek their fifth win in six tries when

they visit the Atlanta Thrashers on Monday.

Among the league's highest-scoring clubs with 3.09 goals per

game, Toronto has tallied 20 times during its recent run.

It's prowess on the offensive end was present on Saturday in its

convincing 7-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins, two nights

after suffering a 8-5 setback against the Boston Bruins.

Vesa Toskala made 20 saves Saturday to win his fourth straight

decision, but reportedly did not make the trip to Atlanta due to

a lingering groin injury, according to the Thrashers' web site.

The Thrashers have won two of their last three - including

Saturday's 4-3 overtime victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning

that halted a seven-game home losing streak.

With the triumph, Atlanta also increased its cushion over the

last-place Lightning to three points in the Southeast Division.

Ilya Kovalchuk recorded 16 of his team-leading 33 points over

his last 13 contests.
