The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Noel Acciari to a three-year contract worth an average annual value of $2 million.

Free Agent Frenzy continues to roll along.

The Pittsburgh Penguins got to work in their first off-season of the Kyle Dubas Era, agreeing to terms with forward Noel Acciari on a three-year contract worth an average annual value of $2 million.

The deal ties Acciari to Pittsburgh through the 2025-26 season and represents Dubas' second time acquiring the 31-year-old in the past six months after nabbing him at the trade deadline while with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Acciari was everything the Maple Leafs needed him to be when they added him last season, along with Ryan O’Reilly. Acciari is a tenacious forechecker, a gifted play-driver, and can throw the body with the best of them despite his lack of size, producing sterling defensive numbers in a bottom-six role. Add in the fact that Acciari can top out around 20 goals, and you have an extremely useful player – one who just snagged himself a decent little payday while joining a Penguins team that is hoping to squeeze one last Stanley Cup out of the Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin Era.

Whether they can achieve that goal remains to be seen. But Acciari certainly helps them along that path.

Stay tuned. Signings will continue to roll in as the day progresses.
