Minnesota (31-27-5) at Los Angeles (27-28-9), 4:00 p.m. EST

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Rookie goaltender Jonathan Quick and the

Los Angeles Kings look to post a better defensive effort when

they host the Minnesota Wild on Saturday.

The Kings, who snapped a four-game losing streak with a 5-4

overtime victory over the Dallas Stars on Thursday, have

surrendered 13 goals in their last three contests.

In the last game, Quick took over for Erik Ersberg at the start

of the third period with Los Angeles trailing, 4-2. The

23-year-old Quick has dropped three consecutive starts.

Minnesota halted its four-game skid by posting a 4-3 overtime

win over the Western Conference-leading San Jose Sharks on

Thursday.

The Wild, who are one point away from pulling even with Edmonton

and Anaheim for the eighth and final spot in the West, play 10

of their next 13 games on the road.
