I'm sick of hearing that there is nothing more exciting than the shootout in hockey.
Well, how about the overtime period that preceded the cleaning of the ice for the shootout.
The shootout is almost anticlimactic after the guaranteed excitement of overtime.
I suggest an extension of overtime by five minutes of 3-on-3 hockey, and if no ones scores then I guess the teams were evenly matched and deserve a point each.
