    Montreal (29-20-6) at Colorado (25-29-1), 9:00 p.m. EST

DENVER (Ticker) -- The Montreal Canadiens have been terrible on

the road recently. Unfortunately for them, there are still four

more games left on the six-game trip.

Montreal looks to snap a seven-game road losing streak on Friday

when it visits the Colorado Avalanche.

The Canadiens, who have not won away from home since a 5-4

overtime victory at Ottawa on January 17, have opened their

six-game trek with consecutive blowout defeats.

Calgary outshot Montreal, 41-24, and posted a 6-2 victory on

Monday before the Canadiens were pounded by the Edmonton Oilers,

7-2, on Wednesday. Edmonton scored four goals in the first

    period.

Carey Price surrendered all seven goals on just 27 shots for

Montreal, which has lost nine of its last 11 overall.

Colorado lost all three games on its recent three-game road tip,

falling to 3-10-0 in its last 13 games.

Ryan Smyth scored both Avalanche goals in the team's most recent

setback, a 3-2 loss at Minnesota on Wednesday.
