After four seasons in Philadelphia, Brian Elliott is on the move again.

The 36-year old goaltender is on his way to the Tampa Bay Lightning on a one-year deal that will see him take on a backup goaltender's role behind Andrei Vasilevskiy. 

Elliott replaces Curtis McElhinney, whom the Lightning did not re-sign at the end of his two-year pact.

In 30 games with the Flyers last season, Elliott recorded a mark of 15-9-2 with a goals-against-average of 3.06 and a .889 save percentage. 

Elliott may no longer be a No. 1 netminder in the NHL, but he's someone who can help take a bit of the workload off of Vasilevskiy – something that will be important as the league reverts to its 82-game schedule.

The Lightning will be the sixth team of Elliott's career that also saw him spend time with Ottawa, Colorado, St.Louis, and Calgary along with the Flyers.
