Auston Matthews, Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon and Jack and Quinn Hughes are captains for the All-Star Game, along with celebrity captains who include Justin Bieber and Michael Buble.

Another week, another round of announcements ahead of the NHL All-Star Weekend in Toronto on Feb. 1 to 3. This time, the league unveiled the captains, celebrity captains and final two players voted into the skills competition.
Auston Matthews, Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon and co-captains Jack Hughes and Quinn Hughes were named to lead their respective teams along with some celebrity captains. They'll star in the all-star player draft and the game on Saturday, Feb. 3.
Toronto Maple Leafs center Matthews has teammate Morgan Rielly as his assistant captain and pop star Justin Bieber as the celebrity captain. Team Matthews will sport the blue all-star jerseys designed by Bieber's Drew House brand. Matthews leads the NHL in goals with 37 ahead of Saturday's game, and Rielly was tied for the ninth-most points among defensemen with 35, but he's since recorded another two points on Saturday against Vancouver.
Edmonton Oilers captain McDavid has Leon Draisaitl as his assistant and Toronto-born actor Will Arnett as their celebrity captain. Team McDavid received the white jerseys for the weekend. McDavid has 59 points on the campaign, while Draisaitl isn't far behind with 50 points.
On Team MacKinnon, the Colorado Avalanche center and NHL points leader has Cale Makar as his assistant and Canadian singer-songwriter and dancer Tate McRae to round out the leadership group. The yellow jerseys go to them. Makar briefly took the league lead in points among defensemen after an afternoon game with 54, but Quinn Hughes' three assists against Toronto means Makar trails by two points.
Since Devils star center Jack Hughes and Canucks captain Quinn Hughes are co-captains of Team Hughes, they didn't get an assistant, but they are getting Grammy Award-winning musician Michael Buble as the celebrity representative. They'll be wearing the red uniforms. Jack Hughes ranks fifth in the NHL for points per game, with 1.41.
Quinn Hughes also made news Saturday evening for being one of two players voted by fans into the NHL All-Star Skills event on Friday, Feb. 2. His Canucks teammate, J.T. Miller, was the other player voted in. They're joining another Canucks player, Elias Pettersson, as three of just 12 players competing in the skills competition, with the winning player receiving $1 million.
NHL All-Star Weekend kicks off with the player draft and a 3-on-3 PWHL showcase game on Feb. 1, beginning at 6 p.m. ET.
