If you're going to try to get better at fighting, it actually makes a lot of sense to get lessons from Georges Laraque, one of the most feared fighters in NHL history.
That's probably a good decision by Matt Rempe of the New York Rangers. What isn't is his intention to be an enforcer to keep his spot on the Rangers roster.
The same day the family of former NHLer Greg Johnson announced he was posthumously diagnosed with Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), video surfaced of Rempe throwing uppercuts under the guidance of Laraque.
There are people in hockey, a lot, a lot, a lot of them, who have no problem watching a 22-year-old make that decision. In fact, they applaud it.
