- Cincinnati Cyclones coach Jason Payne joins the show. He is one of two Black head coaches in the ECHL, and he had a 14-year playing career where he put up 1,285 penalty minutes. Payne and the hosts discuss his days as an enforcer, how they prepared him for his coaching career, his team's quantum leap this season, getting hockey more diverse, the playoffs and more. Here's a sneak peek:
- Jacob and Justin also discussed a former guest of the show, coach Pete MacArthur of the Adirondack Thunder, and one of the wildest playoff-spot clinches Justin can remember from the ECHL. After he appeared on the podcast, the Thunder went 14-6-4 and were trailing in the final game of the season to the team they had to beat to clinch a spot.
- Patrick Grasso is the prospect of the week because of his heroics in scoring twice for the Thunder to win their final game. The 26-year-old has been called up to the AHL for nine games this season.
