He recently overtook the Lightning's Nikita Kucherov in the point race, putting him in line for the Art Ross Trophy, but with the numbers he is putting up, the Hart Trophy may also be his to lose. MacKinnon and Kucherov are the two main frontrunners for the award, but Connor McDavid's excellent season totals can also not be ignored. With 11 points in his last five games though, MacKinnon has been on a streak that is cementing his spot as the Hart frontrunner. The only question now is if he can bring it home for the first time in his 11-year career.
