Hall of Famer Scotty Bowman has the most wins as a coach in NHL history by far. But his victory on this day in 1967 stands out.

Here's today's NHL Nugget – this Wild Wednesday Rewind goes back to Nov. 29, 1967, when the St. Louis Blues looked to snap their seven-game losing streak and had a new 34-year-old coach named Scotty Bowman in his fourth match behind the bench. 

What came next was a milestone that jumpstarted 30 seasons of coaching in the NHL and achieving what no other bench boss has achieved at this level.
