The Hockey News' Derek Lee previews the Ducks' matchup against the St. Louis Blues.

The Ducks host the Blues for a Sunday night affair, the final season matchup between the two teams. The Ducks are coming off a 3-1 loss to the Seattle Kraken on Friday at home while the Blues lost 3-2 in overtime to the San Jose Sharks in San Jose on Saturday.

The Ducks will be without the services of Mason McTavish, who left last Tuesday's game with a lower-body injury and has not practiced since. He was spotted at yesterday's practice with a brace surrounding his right knee and leg area.

The Blues' lineup could look significantly different from their last matchup against the Ducks, with several veterans listed as healthy scratches in their loss last night to the Sharks. Whether interim head coach Drew Bannister will insert any of those players back into the lineup for tonight's game is unknown.

Trevor Zegras left Saturday's practice after taking a puck to the mouth when a pass ramped up a stick and into his face. He immediately headed to the locker room and his status for tonight's game is unknown.

Losing Zegras, even just for a game, would remove one of Anaheim's premier playmakers from the lineup and make generating offense––which has already been an issue to begin with––even more difficult.

If Zegras is unable to go, then Ryan Strome would likely shift from the wing to center, with one of the bottom-6 wingers being elevated to a top-6 role.
