The 2024 third-overall pick was named to Canada's junior showcase summer roster.

Hockey Canada invited 163 players to its Program of Excellence summer camps. Beckett Sennecke was one of the 42 players invited to Canada's National Junior Team Summer Showcase, which runs from July 28 to Aug. 3.

The showcase will occur at WFCU Centre in Windsor, ON. and Plymouth, Mich. Among those 42 players are 38 players who were selected in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. 17 of those––including Sennecke––were drafted in the first round.

Many of the players who are invited to the summer showcase have gone on to represent Canada at World Juniors. Most recently, Ducks prospects Noah Warren, Tristan Luneau, Nathan Gaucher and Tyson Hinds were all invited to the summer showcase before becoming part of Canada's World Juniors roster during the following seasons.

Sennecke has represented Canada just once in an official capacity, as part of the Canada White U17 team in 2022-23 along with fellow top-5 draft pick Cayden Lindstrom.

Playing in the summer showcase will allow Sennecke to pick up where he left off. A strong second half of the 2023-24 season drew more eyes to him as a top prospect and he displayed flashes of how high his ceiling can be at development camp.

If he can keep up his strong performances into the 2024-25 season, there's a good chance that Sennecke will be on Canada's World Juniors roster when winter rolls around.
