The Anaheim Ducks are about to become a lot mightier and a lot more orange.

On Wednesday morning, Chris Smith of Icethetics revealed in his most recent “JerseyWatch” video that the Ducks will be rebranding ahead of the 2024-25 season.

The immensely popular Mighty Ducks logo, which features a duck mask adorned by two hockey sticks, will be making a return as the primary jersey logo.

Smith reveals that the logo will be revamped as well, with it being fully redrawn. Heavier lines emphasize the mask, which now contains an orange eye instead of a black one.

The gold triangle which served as the background for the Mighty Ducks logo on versions of recent alternate jerseys will feature more sparkle, similar to the kind on the Vegas Golden Knights’ jersey.

The crossed hockey sticks will also no longer be yellow, reveals Smith. They are now orange and have been reshaped with a curved heel and a flat blade.

Smith also states that multiple sources have reported that a redesigned duck foot will become the secondary logo and serve as a shoulder patch on the Ducks’ jerseys.

The biggest bit of news from Smith’s video is that the Ducks will pivot from black to orange for the color of their home jerseys in 2024-25. Similar to the Philadelphia Flyers’ redesign last year, the Ducks will be adopting a darker shade of orange for their new jerseys.

The Ducks are expected to reveal their new logo later this month, either before or at the NHL Draft, which takes place on June 28 and 29.

The Ducks revealed their 30th anniversary jersey at the draft last year, featuring second overall pick Leo Carlsson to help reveal the jersey to fans at the Ducks watch party.
