    Great news from the Ducks!

Another piece to the puzzle that is the Anaheim Ducks farm system was just announced as the Tulsa Oilers have agreed to a two-year extension to remain the Premier "AA" Hockey League affiliate of both the Ducks and the AHL's San Diego Gulls.

This new agreement between the parties signals more connection between different levels of hockey leagues, and it allows for the possibility for players to move up through the ranks if they produce.

The sides don't normally have a ton of players journey between each other, but there have been three players since they first had their original agreement that has taken the ice as members of the Ducks organization. Forward Hunter Drew, forward Bryce Kindopp, and goalie Olle Eriksson Ek.

“I’m pleased we’ve entered another multi-year deal with Anaheim,” Oilers head coach Rob Murray said. “I look forward to growing on our existing relationship with an organization that has a lot of exciting prospects. Affiliated players make a huge difference at our level, and we’ve seen that positive impact in the past. We’ve also helped develop some of those players into better pros at the AHL and even NHL level here in Tulsa.”

The goal of this new deal is to help further the Oilers' reach through both the NHL and AHL during the span of this agreement. It helps players grow and gives them more resources at their disposal as well.

This is a good time for all the members involved, and the hope is that the new two seasons will be lucrative and produce results.
