Anaheim Ducks - Ducks unveil rebrand

The Mighty Ducks are back. Well, not quite. The rebrand unveiled by the Ducks on Wednesday morning features new home and away jerseys for the 2024-25 season along with a redesigned Mighty Ducks logo. The team’s new primary jersey color is now orange and highlighted by black and white along with gold accents.

The redesigned Wild Wing logo is a callback to the Ducks’ roots, giving a modern flair by concentrating more orange into it, most heavily emphasized by the orange tinted eye that now highlights the new logo. Wild Wing’s golden eyebrow and the golden triangle which features behind him are just two of the main changes made to the redesigned logo.

As for the jerseys, the home side is a heavy concentration of orange complemented by black and white, two colors referred to in one of the unveiling videos as “classic heritage colors”. The away version is white with an orange yoke and features orange numbers with a gold and black drop shadow.

The duck foot logo, which served as the Ducks’ primary logo for the last 11 seasons, has now taken up shop as a shoulder patch on the new jerseys. This too has been slightly altered, with the orange stripe at the bottom being removed and the entire logo rotated a bit more to the right. The logo is also now taller and thinner.

The Ducks’ unveiling video featured current players Cam Fowler, Radko Gudas, Leo Carlsson, Troy Terry and Trevor Zegras, indicating that all five players are part of the core, at least for this season. It’s likely that one of these players will be named captain ahead of the 2024-25 season as well.

In a statement, Anaheim Ducks owners Susan and Henry Samueli said: “As our organization enters a new chapter of Anaheim Ducks hockey, we are proud to reveal our new, refreshed logo and uniform kit that identifies with the Orange County community. The Ducks are a symbol of Orange County, and our pivot to orange with an updated, iconic logo encompasses our past, present and future.”

Fans will have the opportunity to see the new jerseys in person on Sunday, June 29 at the Summer Flock Party, a free event from 12PM PST to 4PM PST at Honda Center. Ducks prospects Cutter Gauthier and Nico Myatovic will be in attendance along the Ducks’ two newest first-round selections.

General manager Pat Verbeek and club president Aaron Teets will also give insight following their return from Las Vegas and the NHL Draft.

Ducks fans, welcome to Orange Country.
