The Ducks defenseman is taking part in Minnesota’s hockey summer league.

Jackson LaCombe may be in offseason mode, but that hasn’t stopped him from staying on the ice with the 2024-25 NHL season still a couple of months away.
Fresh off signing a new contract with the Ducks earlier this week, LaCombe is now participating in Da Beauty League, hockey’s own version of the NBA’s summer league.
Created in 2015, Da Beauty League takes place Braemar Arena in Edina, Minn. with games occurring every Wednesday all the way until Aug. 28. There are two men’s games and one women’s game every game night.
Each game consists of two halves with each half being 23 minutes each. Games are played four-on-four and also involve special pucks and overtime rules that skew quite the opposite of the NHL.
LaCombe is playing for Team Element alongside fellow NHLers like Tommy Novak, Bobby Brink and Derek Forbort. Element is 2-0 thus far, though LaCombe did not play in their second game on the schedule.
Every game from Da Beauty League is available to watch on their YouTube page.
