The Oilers have acquired defenseman Troy Stecher from the Coyotes in a deal that includes draft picks.
The Arizona Coyotes have traded defenseman Troy Stecher to the Edmonton Oilers with the NHL Trade Deadline just one day away.
The Coyotes receive a 2027 fourth-round pick in exchange for Stecher and a 2024 seventh-round pick.
In 47 games for the Coyotes this season, Stecher has one goal, four assists and five points while playing 18:26 minutes per game.
The Coyotes traded Stecher before last year’s trade deadline to the Calgary Flames. He ultimately signed a one-year $1.1 million contract this past summer, returning to Arizona.
The 29-year-old adds depth to the Oilers’ defensive core as they look to go on a deep playoff run.
He is set to become an unrestricted free agent this upcoming summer.
