This Bruins prospect is playing some great hockey down in the AHL with Providence.
Last month, the Boston Bruins recalled Georgii Merkulov to their NHL roster. The 24-year-old forward played in three games during his call-up, where he had one assist and a minus-1 rating. After that, he was sent back down to the Providence Bruins and has remained there since.
While this is the case, Merkulov has been playing excellent hockey with Providence lately.
In eight games since being sent back to Providence, Merkulov has seven points. This includes two goals and five points over his last four contests with the AHL squad. With this, he now has five goals and 18 points in 20 games with Providence this season.

Seeing Merkukov starting to really heat up with Providence is very encouraging. If he keeps this up, the prospect of him getting another recall should not be ruled out. This is especially so if the Bruins' offense goes cold again.
