Johnny Beecher and Mason Lohrei scored their first NHL goals, and Jeremy Swayman made 34 saves in the Boston Bruins' 10th win of the season.

After suffering their first regulation loss of the season on Saturday against the Detroit Red Wings, the Boston Bruins got back on track with a 3-2 win against the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Arena on Monday.
Johnny Beecher and Mason Lohrei each scored their first NHL goal, and Jeremy Swayman made 34 saves for Boston (10-1-1).
Wyatt Johnston and Joe Pavelski scored for Dallas (7-3-1), and goalie Jake Oettinger made 26 saves.
Beecher gave the Bruins a 1-0 lead at 10:21 of the first period, collecting the puck off the end boards and circling around the right half of the zone before unloading a wrister past Stars goalie Jake Oettinger.
Lohrei made it 2-0 at 14:09 of the first from the high slot off a feed from Danton Heinen, who passed it back from along the goal line.
Dallas applied the pressure throughout the second period, producing five high-danger scoring chances, but Swayman made the stops when he needed to and carried the shutout into the final period.
Just over five minutes into the third period, Wyatt Johnston finally broke through for Dallas, redirecting Esa Lindell’s point shot at 5:09 to cut it to 2-1. The goal broke a 122:32 scoreless drought for the Stars.
After letting three different two-goal leads slip across their previous five games, Brad Marchand made sure Boston put an end to that trend, making it 3-1 at 9:51 on the power play. Zacha won the opening face-off, and Pastrnak’s shot settled at the net front, where Marchand won the battle to backhand the puck in.
Dallas captain Jamie Benn’s cross-check on Parker Wotherspoon at 11:23 gave Boston another chance to extend the lead, but instead Dallas created several short-handed chances of their own.
The puck got up to Roope Hintz for a breakaway at 12:17, but Swayman closed off the five-hole to prevent the goal. Johnston rang a shot off the post seven seconds later, and Swayman made another close save on Miro Heiskanen right after the power play ended at 13:24 to preserve the 3-1 lead.
With Oettinger pulled for the extra skater, Pavelski cut it to 3-2 on another redirect goal with 28 seconds left, but Boston ultimately held on for the bounce-back win.
