David Pastrnak is headed to the All-Star Game. The Boston Bruins' top scorer was one of the 32 initial selections to the 2024 NHL All-Star Weekend in Toronto.
The remaining selections will be voted on by fans, but the NHL guarantees at least one representative from all 32 teams, and Pastrnak is Boston's pick. The 27-year-old winger is tied for third in the NHL with 53 points (23 goals, 30 assists).
Pastrnak already has some All-Star hardware. He won All-Star MVP in 2020, becoming the first Czech player to do so. He was also the fourth Bruin after Bobby Orr (1972), Ray Bourque (1996) and Bill Guerin (2001) to win the honor, according to NHL Stats.
There will be 44 players in total selected, meaning some of Pastrnak's Bruins teammates could be joining him, pending the fan vote.
All-Star Weekend will take place from Feb. 1-3 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
