The Florida Panthers picked up a 5-2 win over the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final. Greer was not the only former Bruin who made an impact in this contest, however. Tomas Nosek had a strong performance himself, recording two assists on the night. His first assist came on Greer's game-winner, and his second helper was on Eetu Luostarinen's third-period goal at the 14:55 mark. Nosek's assist on Luostarinen's goal was particularly nice. The former Bruin made a perfect feed in front to Luostarinen before the latter fired it home. Greer and Nosek have been solid depth players for the Panthers all post-season, and they certainly had strong nights for Florida in Game 1 against the Canes. In nine playoff games this year with the Panthers, Greer now has two goals and three points. Nosek, on the other hand, now has three assists and a plus-5 rating in six playoff games for Florida. With this, Brad Marchand is not the only former Bruins forward thriving with the Panthers.
