One of the Boston Bruins [https://thehockeynews.com/nhl/boston-bruins]' rare bright spots of the 2024-25 season is officially no longer with the team. Former Bruins forward Cole Koepke has signed a one-year, $1 million contract with the Winnipeg Jets. After quietly signing a one-year, two-way contract with the Bruins last off-season, Koepke broke out and cemented himself as a full-time NHL player with Boston in 2024-25. In 73 games on the campaign, the 6-foot-1 winger set new career highs with 10 goals, seven assists, 17 points, and 177 hits. This was after he had one goal, three points, and a minus-5 rating in his two previous seasons combined with the Tampa Bay Lightning. Now, due to this solid play, Koepke has earned a bit of a raise with this new contract with the Jets. When looking at their roster, he should have a spot in their bottom six. It will be interesting to see what kind of season he puts together in Winnipeg from here.
